| Michael Rabatin has worked in the business of design for more than 20 years. His design consultation firm, MJR Design Studio, was established in 2000 and is currently based in New York City. MJR Design Studio has done work around the United States--from vacation homes in Vermont to city dwellings and urban cabins in Minneapolis, Chicago and New York City. MJR Design Studio has also consulted for many companies that are looking for creative direction and strong business growth. From national e-retailer, ItalyByWeb, to jewelry company, Stone Picnic, Michael's experience turning creative companies into thriving businesses is well proven.
Michael spent 14 years in senior management at Polo Ralph Lauren in New York. As Vice President, he was responsible for Ralph Lauren Interiors and oversaw store development, creative services, home design, antiques, and fine art for the organization. He was also responsible for internal administration and operating functions for four creative divisions and streamlined operational processes, financial effectiveness and licensee relations. In Minneapolis, Michael spent 4 years as the Design Studio Director at Gabberts. Gabberts is the premier home retailer with the largest interior design studio in the Midwest.
Michael began in advertising, holding positions for publishing companies Harper Collins and Macmillan Publishing Company in New York.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Art degree from Boston College, Boston; Associate's degree in Divinity from The All Faiths Seminary, New York; studied Archeology and Biblical History at Hebrew University, Jerusalem; as well as completed the Harvard Negotiation Project at Harvard University, Cambridge. |
